Acer netbook in cabin running Coastal Explorer or OpenCPN
Panasonic toughbook wireless display in cockpit
Netgear router
DC-DC converters for computer, display and router
AB reefer
LED running lights and cabin lights
Harken electric winch
Again, except for the winch, which is hardly used once the sails are raised, we draw 4-9 amps, depending on if the reefer is running or not.

- It's ironic as sailboats become, lighter, faster and easier to sail, they need more electric power.
- I would worry about the long over-hanging load on the shaft.
- One wonders why they need a second alternator
- With normal engine room heat, the real world output could be a lot lower.

- It's not the shock loads but the cyclic loading.
