I admit I haven't gone through the entire thread. We went with a second very high output (210 amp) alternator when we got Odyssey style batteries that can recharge at a high rate. That way if we draw the batteries down pretty far, we can bulk back up with a relatively short engine run time. Maybe they have some of those self-immolating lithium batteries aboard. (Oh wait, it's only the special Dreamliner batteries that do that!)
