Why should anyone have to be able to do 100% of their own boat maintenance, if they can't or don't want to?

Being able to vice making a choice not to are two different things.
People may laugh, but 'hring it out' well, is a learned skill too.

I have plenty of space to work on my boats...
Then I agree, if you enjoy working on them more than using them, you should do 100% of the work.
