They are, like, so cheap this year! Most days it's a snap to drop the anchor and even raise it under quiet conditions. A little more of a nuisance when you find you have to move to a different spot for one reason or another. And under poor conditions the by hand and arm and back approach it is, well, a pain.

So, what's it like to use one? It's not like you can use it or do it by hand unless you have a horizontal unit. Is it in fact easier to set with a windlass or just to weigh anchor?
