The news article put the grounding at about 19:00 
In Response To: The current (at 5:30 PM on the 13th of October) was about 1.5 knots headed out of the inlet ()
.... which is around the same time the current turned to flood, according to the tables. With a easterly blowing, it might have turned a bit later.
