When friends Iain and Fiona got into a desperate fix, Fiona took over.

Quite a story, instant gale off rocky Scotland, raising anchor, pull the dinghy under the stern via the painter-prop wrapped, getting blown into the rocks yards to leeward.

A mistake filled nightmare. She the more experienced sailor, takes over and sails the boat(inflatable half under the hull). They have some great stories. But they had never done an ocean crossing in their own boat. After pausing for days, they just had to do it. Like most, they had no problems they couldn't handle.

Iain tells me he wanted to bail out last November heading for the Virgin Islands when the Gulf Stream kicked up. Fiona, "stay the course,..."
