In that 99% of our sailing is done in daylight, in fair weather, and with the dinghy in tow,that's when I'd be going overboard. So, I'm good with her MOB system. I can probably get to it, I know I can get in it, and I'll row back. She'll figure out the boat, eventually but she's not really interested in sailing the way I am. Yet she loves to be on the water, to be sailing, to make the whole experience way beyond what I could do, she's a perfect sailing partner for me. I reciprocate with enthusiasm in her passions.

As I get older, I'm taking to stopping the boat(heaving to)when I'm alone to do deck work. I think I can deal with falling overboard as long as the boat,stays put.

Still, I see the boat after decades, one of the safest places in life. Cars, if you drive a lot or spend time walking or biking alongside them, that's my most dangerous aspect of life.
