My wife and I also view each others interests and abilities as complementary, and I echo your thoughts re: "to make the whole experience way beyond what I could do".
But I find it interesting that you heave-to for deck work (not a bad idea at times) and that you think it's more dangerous to be in a car than facing some of your occupational hazards. Is it your concern for "the other guy"?
