And a vehicle accident is often life altering. Sailing on the other hand, seems safer and don't stats bear that out, even for globe girdlers?

My biggest fear single handing is going overboard and the boat sailing away. A little like falling off a roof- don't do it.

        My rules only work for me. We're never offshore more than a couple days.
        I tow my inflatable--once upside down
        
        I had a friend do that in Penobscot Bay with his inflatable. He had an 8hp Nissan on it.
      - Quite a financial set back to get over. I hope they still have the dream.
