() Would the Kaufmans have left on their voyage if they did not have a sat phone for whatever reason? If so, they judged it not to be necessary for safety. If not, then they should not have been out there with or without one.
I just hope the provider involved has the balls to fight this rather than roll and hand them a settlement to be rid of it.
