Battery selector switch idea.
Input from marine electrician to replace our old battery selector switch with a new Blue Seas unit. Well I do not have two sets of wires from my 4 6volt house batteries to my old switch. If I do loose a battery I can isolate either battery bank at the battery box pretty easily. My plan is to install a 50 amp Blue Seas circuit breaker on my panel to act as a disconnect. Comments?

- As Brian and others have suggested, proper disconnect is really the way to go.

- You should, beyond a fuse, be able to kill the power delivered from the batteries to ALL devices downstream
