Yes... I've noticed that when swaping out the speedo impeller...

any bilge pump to empty that steady ingress of water would be rather lame.

On the flip side, if you could quickly plug the leak (if you were even aware of the leak... hence the NEED for an alarm) an electric bilge pump would work far easier than my Gusher pump in the cockpit. Oh the Gusher is a good pump, but if you have your hands full with other situations... It would be nice to just flip a switch or have something running automatically.
