The main breaker near the batteries is 150 amps with 2/0 wire then it breaks into loads for the windlass and Hf radio and #2 wire to the 12V panel. The 50 amp breaker will be mounted on the 12 volt panel and it has an on and off setting so it is simple to switch off in case of smoke

- As Brian and others have suggested, proper disconnect is really the way to go.
