Brilliant! Drastic! Rarely do cruisers admit extra weight slows them down.

() But I can't imagine living on a boat more than a few months at a time without a lot of 'stuff'. There's really only one solution if you want the lost performance back, a longer boat. 
Just one caution; never ever sail it with all your liveaboard gear, taken off. The Manta 42.5 could be a light air rocket.
