() in the Sea of Cortez we met many, four or five boats, who's people were "prisoners" aboard there boats. They sold out and sailed away with no "bail out" plan. In same cases it was heart breaking. No way to return to the US, and not enough money to rig to go further.
Many were trying to make any money they could. I think a lot were in Mexico due to the low cost to live.
