    • I think the other pictures you posted show the teak on a "box lid" or "box"
      • One method I learned(which I may use) is to fasten the strips with pan head screws, in epoxy.
        • Tom, I installed the "Gougeon Bros." 1/8" teak deck on Passage and after a few years....

      • Get a copy of Fred P. Bingham's "Practical Yacht Joinery".
    • Was going to suggest Ipe. I've used it a good bit as a replacement for Teak Works well, but hard.

          • Take a look at this pic. The trim across the front of the settee is Ipe. All else is teak
