Interesting. So what's your professional opinion of using it in this manner for decking?

I wonder if it's stable enough and if I could get 2x stock to quarter saw(I know I can get Ipe in 1" nominal).

I'm researching hardwoods in my area. This is a nearby Maine wholesaler that only sells 200bd ft min. But I can order through my local supplier and usually can go pick out the stock. I don't know any pricing yet but are any of these imports good candidates for the teak they carry? Seems most everything is 1/2 or less than teak.
