Adler Barbor

I also have an older Adler Barbor Super Cold machine on my Allied Seawind. I live full time in South FLorida. During trips to the Keys and the Bahamas I usually start out with 2 or three 2 litre bottles of pop filled with ice in the bottom of my builtin chest unit the ice usually lasts 4 days with the refridgerator turned on during the daytime only. I have a large house bank with 4 6volt Sams Club Golf Club batteries connected up to provide 12v. I do have a 130watt Kyocera solar panel mounted on my dodger even with the interference of a boom and running a Pur 40 watermaker and my electronics I never have a problem keeping up with my electric use. Things going so well now that last year on a trip to the Bahamas I never once bothered to have electric hook up on the occasisions I was at a marina. The only repair on the Adler was an upgrade to the new electronic module and fan that sits by the compressor. Actually all that was not needed as the fault was a rat that bit thru the wiring! Great unit and parts are readily available.
