have Engel units. Another friend who keeps his boat in the Bahamas and V.I.'s uses it out on deck to keep sodas and beer. He has a Manta cat and has a lot of shaded area. He told me he doesn't even figure it's power consumption into his calculations it's so low. I have to say that I'm a power using piker compared to him but from all accounts it's a great unit. I would certainly look into it if I was in the market for a portable. I think Dan and Ray did an awesome job with the Engel on Tropical Dance. I thought they were nuts to get rid of the ice maker (I really like Ice in my drinks!) until I saw what they did with the space.
