Everything I've read or heard indicates a need to at least double my battery bank to about 400 amps and be prepared to run the motor a lot or invest in solar and/or wind. It will cost more for the power creation and storage than the frig unit. I don't really believe you can have a "simple" boat and a refrigerator- they are mutually exclusive. We coastal cruise in Nova Scotia so on summers like we just had if the icebox runs out of ice we just set the food on deck to cool... ;) Best regards, David
