We have a Catalina 42 with 8 6 volt AGMs for the house bank. We have a high output Balmar and can keep things "sort of" up with about an hour and a half a day of engine time. That also gives us hot water. I make water and really top up when making a long motoring run...or use the Honda 2000. It seems that we are "usually" 200 amps down much of the time. Solar is "planned" for the budget next summer. 200 amps down isn't a problem with that big of a bank.
