There is a bit of space behind and around it when it's closed. I thought about putting a muffin fan in the loop but it takes surprisingly little amperage and seems to work fine without one. They use them in the dessert so my thought is that it probably uses a bit more battery but If I add a fan, the fan would use 12 amps a day also. Reality is that so far (3 years ) it seems not to care.

I have muffin fans helping the main refrigerator and also the charger/inverter. Funny, If I add up all the fans we have running, we use about 75 amps a day on the fans alone.

No problem.
