I normally anchor at 4:1 scope calculated at high including my 6' freeboard at the bow. That gives me enough chain for anchoring in 31' depth at high, although I seldom anchor anywhere where the depth at high is more than 25'.

My backup anchor has a mixed rode (40' of chain and 150' of 5/8" 3 strand nylon, but I have never used it.
