When we needed a new rode last fall (don't ask; won't tell) I decided to try it. Defender had a good deal on a chain/plait package so I bought it to make things simple and fast. The stuff does stow neatly; there's a lot of room left in the locker with 30' 5/16" chain and 270' of 9/16" plait. And all ready for the Maxwell 10-8 windlass this summer! Of course that will take longer to install.
