Have you ever had a keel wrap?

I've never had an issue with it when we used a combination rode in the past. We didn't have a lot of "reversing" except in thunderstorms/frontal changes or no-wind anchorage situations with a modest tidal flow.

We had keel centerboard boats for about 20 years before our current J/Boat's fixed "normal" 7'3" draft keel -- but we have essentially an all chain set-up.

I'm not sure how much that would be an issue.

I'd actually be concerned with powerboat in relatively shallow water "running-over" it's nylon anchor line, depending on the underwater configuration, and hooking itswheels (a/k/a propellers) pr it's "rudder-like" appendages.
