Buy "classic plastic," then you don't have much

value degradation.
New boats, like new cars (not houses) tend to lose value quickly when "taken off the lot." Buy a classic old car or classic old boat, and they don't tend to lose much value, in fact, may actually gain value.
Anything new loses value as the shine and "new smell" go away.
