Dan, just a small correction. According to Everett Pearson's 1965 book, The Lure of Sailing, p. 8, Pearson started construction in the old Herreshoff yard in Bristol. They were later constructed in Warren, RI in a larger facility. This was where my 36 Cutter was built in 1982. Good luck on selling your Gulf Star. After so much cruising, it must be difficult to part with her. I have a friend who has had one for years.
