() At our marina in northern california, and it is about 700 slips,,,,, it is rare to see sailors under 40. Much more talk about cancer, heart attacks and social security than sailing. With fewer young people taking up the sport demand for boats will shrink. When I was 27 I bought my first boat,,,,,,,, lots of folks that age today are worried about finding a job and paying off student loans. It is all about DEMAND,,,, or lack there of.
