I wonder what the difference in amps per day would be?

I understand. We met a couple on an 'Island Trader' in the San Blas. They had a medium sized household 110 freezer on board and said they had no problems. They did have 10-6 volt batteries and a 'Blasto 5000' (joke name) charge system.

If you only need to run your generator for 2 hours a day to keep your batteries up you're doing really well. We need close to the 2 hours as well. Found out that running the generator for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon works much better than 2 hours straight once a day.

If I was keeping the boat the first new addition would be to switch all lighting (except for the reading lamps) to LED.
