And they motored quite a bit of the ICW together. I'm glad to hear things aren't as bad as it sounds at times, down that way. Roger sounds like the run south has made him pine for his native north country. He had prejudiced himself about Fla. having spent some time there I think.

This is like a pent up life dream for him, just to get off on his own boat, unfettered by life so to speak. That's a universal story on the north/south flyway I recall.

There's a lot of boats going up and down the coast like this at any time, it's fun when you get someone that writes with their heart about the experience. I think it's interesting to hear what others feel. A few good current reads this year.
