There are two easy chairs... only one shows in the photo. The first seats to get filled are always those chairs. Even the settee purists gravitate to them and won't give them up!
It is true that it makes us short a sea berth. The quarter cabin is always used first followed by the port settee (with lee cloth). The latter can be set up as a double, but that's not useful while on passage.
So, yes, the last crossing of the Sea of Cortez hard on the wind, we did drag a berth cushion from the forward cabin and set it on the main cabin sole. For us, we'd make the same decision again.
