In 1962 though Tom I was still in high school. By 1966 I knew I needed a sailboat but I had negative income then, getting through college. I still remember the night I was out on my uncle's Trojan 32 and we tied up after dark in the Providence "something point" marina. There was a fiberglass sailboat (presumed Pearson) tied up to the face dock. I went over and looked at it, falling in love. It took me 5 years to buy my first Ensign, and it just went from there. In the last 41 years there has been one summer when I didn't own a sailboat.
