That boat raised quite a stir in 1957 at the NY Boat show. 40'10" LOA. I don't think many were built, I've seen a listing or two on the web. The bow oil canned in the Bounty II as did some other new designs(my boat as well). That taught them that the boats needed better structural design but also that the material could flex with no problems. So they added stringers etc(Alden added a sheet to the drawings and their Challengers were refitted with a longitudinal bow stringer).
