Yeah, I'll be able to afford a B40 at age 276!

But we're happy with our Tartan 30 (she'll be 40 this year). She takes where we want to go and brings us home again. And lately, the places we want to go are closer to home. Probably no more trips to Canada or Maine - Block or MV at a stretch.
I look at some of these big yachts and just wonder - why?
Perhaps the next trend to spend money will be to build replicas of the 1800s frigates but tricked out as yachts. 3 masts, square rigged, crew of 100 sleeping on the gun deck, owner and guests aft. I suppose they'd find a place to store the water toys.
