BTW the "Yanmar dealer" I went to locally is an office about the size of a closet with about 100 parts on the wall. He hand writes receipts, uses paper catalogs, and has an old adding machine to total the charges. He also knew part numbers off the top of his head.
This is in the 9th largest city in the US. I shutter to think what a "Yanmar dealer" in some isolated 3rd world location would be like.
(of course I can't complain, he had half the darn parts I needed, on hand, in that "office.") (and the guy has a nice waterfront view... through the shipyard... maybe not a bad "gig.")
I have to also admit that this little adventure with my engine has caused me to venture into some others of those small waterfront offices... only to discover that there is someone knowledgeable behind the "counter" somewhere.
