While you are at it Tom, I'd consider attaching some hoisting clips or connectors so you can facilitate the lifting a placing to the cockpit floor "box".

I would think your either remove them after your were done, or not.

How you seal and deal with the seat backs and seats themselves so you you don't get rot or intrusion at the joints? Are you going to epoxy everything together? Like prefabbing a teak deck and using screws only to hold it in place until it sets, then filling the screw holes with epoxy and plugging them? Do the cockpit seats naturally drain into the cockpit so there isn't any standing water?
