True but look closely at that newer boat.
I see many miter joints epoxied on these boats. These are not full thickness decks but I agree, it looks dicey. I'm not sure which way I'll go. The biggest thing is avoiding any wide margin pieces. I'm not sure I can, though.

- The "modern" approach would be to have a gutter below the lids which drains out into the cockpit.
