Set time on polyester is more of a curse than a benefit...

With epoxy you have time to get it right before it goes off. With polyester you are fighting the clock. The best way to use it is to wet out the cloth on plastic sheet and then pick up the cloth on the plastic sheet, turn it over, set it in place and peel off the plastic sheet. Use a fiberglass roller to work it into the wood. The advantage of epoxy is that you can take your time and do it right.

- The "modern" approach would be to have a gutter below the lids which drains out into the cockpit.
