Complication I have is the two big cockpit locker tops.

Nobody knows better than I how important the two enormous cockpit lockers are on our old boat. Folding bikes, ladders, fishing poles, anchors, awnings, garbage and recycling bins, you name it. That stuff fits in with plenty of space left over that it's hassle free(as opposed to tedious over-filled) boat storage. The existing locker lid tops are square because they're built of solid teak planks. I'm adding a bit of complexity by building trapezoid lids. I need the shape because of some construction/decking details that will shorten the lids a few inches. However, they will a bit wider at the forward shoulder more than making up the loss in even easier access. Not easy to explain but hopefully I can show this later.

Here you can see the plank top on the existing. With the shallow scuppers at the joints and a few other problems, a lot of water finds it's way into the bilge around these locker tops. The storage will be more useful when it is dry below.
