Fein/Dremel/Rockwell (pic)

Funny thing about the Fein Multi-Master, and some of the knock offs, is they perform very poorly in comparison.

I own both the Dremel and the Fein Multi-Master. There is NO comparison what so ever between these two tools other than the fact that they are both supposed to be similar in function. The Fein literally runs circles around the Dremel.

Last week I offered a friend my Multi-Master to do some deck core repairs. When I showed up at the yard yesterday he had purchased a Rockwell knock off. He told me he did not need the Fein and that I could take it home with me. Before I left he fire up the Rockwell and tried it. I then had him try the Fein. Needless to say, I did not go home with my Fein...;) Again, no comparison...

As for my favorite tool. I really like my Ryobi impact driver as it allows one sided, one person deck hardware bedding. It's inexpensive, like the Dremel, and makes a good "boat quality" tool that you don't need to worry about ruining.
