I use an inspection mirror on a telescoping handle. Agree it's very handy -- but sometimes you just can't see behind a panel but if you can use a small camera with auto-flash you can see how things are routed and fastened that are important to know.

Unfortunately the camera's small screen doesn't always provide the needed detail -- another reason to have laptop available.
