If all you will be doing is measureing voltages the cheapys you have will be fine. No need to buy an expensive tool when you will never use 90% of the functions. I used to have very high end electrical measurement capacity (much higher end than anything mentioned here) in my work and used it regularly (every day). Now I find that a 10 year old $30 multimeter from radio shack is all I need.
