Not a power tool, but these are essential ...

a full set of Stubby ratcheting combination wrenches, MM and Standard. I got mine at Sears, Craftsman, lifetime guaranty, Christmas sale, I think for under $50/set.

Another tool I use all the time is a Panduit Gun for tie wrapping, you can usually fine one of these on ebay for about $50, they're great.
