yup, a lot of folks find the reality a lot different from the sunny pic in the rags. Hal Roth said it in after 50000 miles, "that paragraph you just took 30 sec. to read was 90 min. of wet/cold/wild work in the dark" or something to that effect and with all the modern gizmos and wiz bangs ya still gotta deal with the motion, the terrifying nights of forked lighting, the waves that reach proportions you only thought Hollywood could create, the sun, the bugs, the burecrates, no seatow or towboatUS, folks who don't speak your language, and places for miles with no spare parts or even the right fuel filter, god writing about it makes ya wonder why anyone would want to do it, but thanks to all the above it keeps a lot of anchorages in way out places from being overrun with crowds.....
