For us it had nothing to do with easy. There are so many places to see on your way that it's a shame to go offshore and make it in one passage.

There's all of the Exumas, the Bahama out islands, Turks and Cacios, DR, Puerto Rico, Spanish Virgins. If we hadn't taken all that time getting the the Eastern Caribbean it would have been a shame.

Places like this would have slid under the keel. We're glad we did it that way.
