I did predict the daysailer was here to stay., so I'll make another,....

Seeing as how the Daysailers seem to be the boat most tested and written about lately, it's seems possible the we may see a new "cruising boat" style soon. Now don't laugh, it's THE current advertising fashion word statement,...the Hyrid Cruiser.

I'm a dead serious. What will this boat be about? First, simple sailing (low down on the list of most of the last fleet of "Globe Girdlers") because for whatever reason, it's obvious that idea is selling some sailboats today.

And these Hybrid Cruisers, will not make good long term homes. They'll have the latest and greatest new gizmos that space will allow, but the space will be limited in the future. That is, it will take 60 feet to equal the living space of the last Morris 50+- cruiser of just a few years ago.

These won't be liveboards but destination cruisers also capable of what the current daysailers do. Realisticly, they'll simply be the new daysailers, with some range.

These Hybrids will be designed to fit (or create?) the new cruiser.

What do you think?
