We replaced our Zodiac plywood floor dingy about 3 years ago with the single layer fiberglass RIB. We normally board in the bow from our open transom boat and the steep slope was a problem. I made a mini-deck out of 1/2" plywood that fills the area in front of the seat. It looks about like home plate and with some sand in the paint gives us a flat place to step.
We almost never deflate it. It stays on the foredeck all summer and hangs upside down in the garage inflated all winter. A cruising friend has the same size (10 ft) full RIB that handles rough water better but needs 15 hp to get up on a plane with 2-3 people. We can with an 8 hp. The extra boat weight and deeper V take more power.
