...or at least, it's not as much hassle to up and move, and with a presumably shallowish draft, you can position the big boat closer to areas you want to explore. I'm not saying that's perfect, but on something like a 26-footer a hard bottomed inflatable and a 9.9 outboard can be a significant stowage issue.

(I do realize that in some anchorages you can't get any closer.)
