Stow and Tow. Even for coastal cruising it's important, imo, to have a dinghy which CAN be stowed on deck or below or on davits if you have them.
Towing under most conditions of coastal cruising is OK, but if you tow a dinghy in all circumstances while coasting then there will
probably come a day when you will lose it. If it's a hard dinghy, it can also cause some problems (bang!) for the mother boat while towing; if it's
an inflatable then it will probably be the dinghy rather than the big boat which will suffer.
