I guess you mean by "cruise"?

I'm sure if you were handling dive tanks, an inflatable floor wouldn't as stable as a hard bottom -- or even a hard floor.

We had a plywood floor for our prior AVON, it was more stable, but was more of a pain to store, inflate, and keep the varnished floor "in shape.

If found that I was using the dingy a lot, rather than just intermittantly, I'd probably go with a insertable floor. Certainly with tanks to haul around or using it as a work boat, a harder floor makes a difference.

I just wouldn't "cruise" with a dingy on our boat's deck -- maybe on a much bigger boat that was designed for it. We don't tow our dingy, except in rare situations. (When I did that years ago, I ran into problems once too often. I'm not into davits. I know there are others that are (different strokes, for different folks)
